Over 1 million visitors enjoyed Zomer van Antwerpen
Zomer van Antwerpen organised a 2-month instant-holiday comprising theater, music, film, and more.
A resolute choice for innovation was made, with great success. Besides the long series of free circus and theater acts, favourites of the public were the free Late Night Shows and the Zerostarhotel at the Zomerfabriek site at the old gas plant.
At the Summerbar, the beating heart of the festival near the circus tents, a freely accessible Summer Library was installed.
Music in the Neighbourhood, the nomadic music festival which visits several local squares, attracted notably more music lovers than previous editions.
The visit of the Diver, his hand and the Little Giantess turned out to be a dream finale for Zomer van Antwerpen 2010. No less than 800.000 little people were mesmerised by the Giants for three days.
